The WO1602G series is a COG (Chip-on-Glass) I2C interface LCD display module with a metal pin connection, featuring a display format of 16 characters x 2 lines. This module is equipped with an ST7032i controller IC and supports the I2C interface.
The I2C LCD module of WO1602G has outline dimensions of 74.2 x 25.2 mm, with a view area size of 61.0 x 15.1 mm and an active area size of 56.2 x 11.5 mm. The supply voltage for logic (VDD) can be selected as either 3V or 5V. It operates with a 1/16 duty cycle and 1/5 bias. Operating temperatures for this module range from -20℃ to +70℃, with storage temperatures ranging from -30℃ to +80℃.
COG LCD structures offer several advantages:
- Space Saving: COG technology enables the placement of the chip behind the LCD, eliminating the need for external packaging and saving space.
- Enhanced Performance: COG reduces interference and backlight effects on LCDs, improving performance, stability, and enhancing image quality and color representation.
- Faster Manufacturing: COG technology reduces assembly and testing time, leading to faster manufacturing, increased productivity, and lower costs.
- Price Advantage: The absence of external packaging in COG structures contributes to cost reduction, providing a competitive price advantage.
LCD structures with COG not only save space but also offer a price advantage, making them the preferred technology for a wide range of LCD products.
